Pastor Hinson was licensed to preach at the age of nineteen
at the New Wesley AME Church in Camden, New Jersey and was charged
with leading the youth of this church into spirit-filled lives.
The Lord led him to form a Citywide Youth for Christ Ministry.
He was burdened with the fact that our youth were killing each
other and did not fear God. Through the help of the Holy Spirit,
one hundred youth came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ
through this Ministry.
Pastor Hinson then served under the pastor-ship of Reverend
Silas M. Townsend of St. John Baptist Church, Camden, New Jersey.
There he led The Hedges and Highways Ministry, taking the Gospel
of Christ out to the destitute areas of the City. From there,
he served as Assistant Pastor at Metropolitan Gospel Church,
Pennsauken, New Jersey under the leadership of Pastor Kevin Elsey.
Then in 1998, New Strength Gospel Church was birthed in Audubon,
New Jersey. Within a few months, the membership grew rapidly
from 35 to over 350 members.
With a passion for lost souls, Pastor Hinson is driven to
seek those who are struggling with the effects of social injustice.
He maintains a church that is "sinner friendly" and
caters to those whom the world labeled useless.
Pastor Hinson is blessed with a loving wife, Ebony, who is
truly a woman after God's own heart, and three (3) beautiful
children, Chazzi, Chad, Jr. and Chandler.
